Born January 4, 1916, in Berrien County to the late Isaac and Bertha Buck Daniel, she was a homemaker and retired school teacher. She was a member of Berrien Retired Teachers Association and Riverside Missionary Baptist Church. She was the widow of Bremen Hendley who died June 14, 2000. At the time of his death, they had been married 62 years. Survivors include her nephew caregiver, Danny (Susan) Hendley of Nashville; sister, Nellie Fussell, Douglas; numerous other nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by four brothers and three sisters. Funeral services were held August 8 at 11 a.m. at Riverside Missionary Baptist Church with the Revs. Jimmy Futch, Marvin Paulk, T.C. Norris and David Spring officiating. Mary Walker gave a eulogy. Marvin and Brenda Paulk sang “Who am I?” and “What a Day that Will Be,” and Christy Spring sang “In the Garden.” Interment was in Riverside Cemetery. Active pallbearers were Ty Hendley, Brian Fussell, James Griner, Wayne Hendley, Randy Hendley, Craig Daniel. Honorary pallbearers were Mike Duggan, Tommy Lee, Randall Griner, David Hendley, Archie Hendley, Roger Hendley, Mike Hendley, Johnny Hendley, Norman Fussell, Bruce Daniel, James Riley Daniel, Gene Daniel.
