Born April 9, 1954 in Berrien County to Fred and Florie Griffin Hesters of Nashville, he was a truck driver and attended Nashville Mission. Survivors, in addition to his parents, include his wife, Ouida Ann Harper Hesters of Nashville; one daughter, Michelle Green of Moultrie, one grandson, Josh Greene; one granddaughter, Brittany Greene; two step-daughters, Tonya McDaniel of Adel and Nichole Godwin of Jasper, FL; three step-sons, Clayton Godwin of Adel, James Godwin and Justin Godwin, both of Sparks; brother, Ray Hesters of Nashville; sister, Gwen Griner of Nashville. He was preceded in death by a sister, Daphne Walker. Funeral services were held November 23 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with the Revs. R.T. Castleberry and Mickey Lindsey officiating. Songs on CD included "My Way," "How Great THou Art," and "Bridge Over Trouble Waters." Interment was in Nashville Memorial Gardens. Buck Warren sang "Long Black Train" at the gravesite. Active pallbeaerers were Mike Thompson, Gary Cooksey, Johnny May, Wendell Spells, Charles Overstreet, Buck Warren. Honorary pallbearers were Cecil Bentley, Dwight Starling, J.W. Harper, Bud Whitley, leigh Woods, Pat Prickett, Rick Franklin. Lovein Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
