 Brother Fred Hesters, 88, of Nashville, with his family by his side, went home 
to be with the lord on February 13, 2014, at South Georgia Medical Center in 
Valdosta.
 He was born November 24, 1925, in Berrien County to the late Gordon and Rosetta  
Rowan Hesters. He was founder and pastor of Nashville Mission and pastored a 
number of other church in Berrien and surrounding counties. He loved the Lord 
and was dedicated to helping and ministering to everyone. Brother Fred had a 
passion for missions and was a sponsor of Christian Aid Indigenous missions 
abroad during his entire ministry at Nashville Mission. he cherished his family 
and was a loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was preceded in 
death by a daughter, Daphyne Walker, and a son, Terry Hesters.
 He is survived by his wife, Florie Griffin Hesters of Nashville; daughter and 
son-in-law, Gwen and Larry Griner of Nashville; son and daughter-in-law, Ray and 
Marilyn Hesters of Nashville; eight grandchildren, Keith Walker of Jacksonville, 
FL, Rodney Walker of Lenox, Tracey Hesters Huyck of Macon, Kim Morrissey of 
Valdosta, Michelle Hesters Green of Adel, Kristi johnson Godwin of Hahira, Rana 
Roe Solomon of Lehi, Utah, and Dana Roe Lupo of Tifton; 14 great-grandchildren, 
and other family and friends.
 Funeral services were held February 15 at 3 p.m. at Nashville Mission with the 
Rev. Jimmie Hinson officiating.
 Interment was in Westview.
 Lovein Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
