  Virgil Hickox, 71, of Nashville died July 23, 2014, at Tift Regional Medical 
Center.
 He was born October 30, 1942, in Homerville to the late George W. and Ruby 
Beverley Hickox. He was a retired lodge host with Shadow Oak Plantation and was 
associated with his wife in operation of Landmark Gifts and Antiques. He was a 
member of Nashville United Methodist Church and a former Alderman for the City 
of Nashville.
 He is survived by his wife, Patricia “Patsy” Odum Hickox of Nashville; two 
daughters, Amy Fackler of Adel and Rebecca Jenkins of Nashville; brother and 
sister-in-law, Robert M. and Betty Hickox of Savannah; nine grandchildren, one 
great grandchild.
 Funeral services were held July 26 at 11 a.m. at Nashville United Methodist 
Church with the Revs. Bob Ellis, Felix Haynes and Michael Finn officiating.
 Interment was in Nashville Memorial Gardens.
 Lovein Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
