He was born November 4, 1951, in Berrien County to the late James and Minette Hill. He was a person full of cheer who never let anyone who felt down go without putting a smile on their face. Many would describe Winfred J. Hill, or better known as “Wimp,” as a bright character who always kept you laughing. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Elaine Hill and Jackie Clowers Shaw. Survivors include his brothers and sisters, Diane (James) Adkins, Lonnie (Helen) Hill, Henry (Carolyn) Hill, and Barbara Gibson; special aunt, Deloris Troutman Roberson; special cousin, Hayward Collier; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, nieces, and other relatives and many sorrowing friends. Funeral services were held on October on October 18 at 4 p.m. at New Emmanuel Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Ralph White, pastor, officiating. Interment was in Eastview Cemetery in Nashville.
