 Maness Pierce Hillman, 96, of Sparks died September 13, 2004 at Berrien County 
Hospital.

 Born October 19, 1907 in Russell County, VA to the late William and Ida Lee 
Salyer Hillman, he was a retired supervisor with the U.S. Postal Service in 
Washington, D.C. He was a member of Stevenson United Methodist Church in 
Berlin, MD. He and his wife, Lester Lee Powell Hillman of Sparks, lived most of 
their lives in Maryland, moving to Sparks six months ago.

 Survivors, in addition to his wife, included two sons, Ken Hillman of Sparks 
and Daniel Hillman of Gaithersburg, MD; one sister, Lena Kate Johnson of 
Kingsport, TN; nine grandchildren, six great-grandchildren.

 A graveside service was held September 19 at 2 p.m. at Nashville Memorial 
Gardens with Rev. Dwight Bishop officiating.

 Lovein Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
