                   Funeral Rites For Mrs. Hobbs Held Thursday
 Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Hobbs, 82 of Tifton, were to be held 
at 3pm Thursday in the chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
 The Rev. L. B. Allen will officiate with interment in the Tifton Cemetery.
 She was born April 24, 1880 in Wilcox County, daughter of the late Franklin 
Levi Hopson and Martha Jane Howard Hopson. She was a member of the New River 
Baptist Church.
 Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. L. E. Cooper of Tifton; a brother, Johnny 
Hopson of Miami, Fla.; a sister, Mrs. Mattie Whitley of Fitzgerald; and five 
grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Additional Comments:
Her mother was Martha Howell, not Howard. Her 1st husband was James Webb and 
her last husband was John D. Hobbs. It appears that in between, she married an 
Unknown Durley or Darley.
