 Mary Hodges, 79, of Nashville died Dec. 31, 2010 at Tift Regional Medical C
Center.
 Born July 6, 1931, to the late Henry and Adella Crannell Myers, she was a 
member of Sparks United Methodist Church and an honorary member of the Puddleville
Puddleville Purdies Red Hat Club. She was preceded in death by her husband, F
Francis Hodges, and several brothers and sisters.
 Survivors include her sons and daughter-in-law, Mark R. Hodges of 
Jacksonville, FL, Leon C. Hodges of Adel and Scott Francis and Heather Hodges 
of Jacksonville; daughter and son-in-law, Lynda and Roy Gene Lanier, Sr. of 
Nashville; grandchildren, Regina Hodges, Jodie Callahan, Mary Merlin McCook, 
Sam Howell, Amy Tortoriella, Ashley Barnes, Scott F. Hodges, II, Christian 
Hodges, Cody Hodges, Eric Findeisen, Jennifer Findeisen, Tommy Lanier, Roy Gene 
Lanier, Jr., Chet Lanier, Garrett Lanier, David Howell, Jason Howell, Jessica 
Howell, 13 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Jan. 3 at Purvis Funeral Home with Rev. Jimmy Parker 
officiating. Phil and Betty Gibbs sang “Amazing Grace” and “Beautiful Star of 
Bethlehem.” “Go Rest High on That Mountain” was played on CD.
 Interment was in Empire Cemetery.
 Active pallbearers were Sam Howell, Scott Hodges, II, Cody Hodges, Tommy L
Lanier, Roy Lanier, Jr, Garrett Lanier, Stephen Barnes, Jonathan Howell.
 Honorary pallbearers were Joel Tortoriello, Christian Hodges and members of 
the Puddleville Purdies Red Hat Club.
 Purvis Funeral Home of Adel was in charge of arrangements.
