He was born on Dec. 18, 1947, in Berrien County to the late John Thomas Hogan and Floried Harper Hogan. He was a retired E-7 from the U.S. Army. He was a me member of Hope Baptist Church and had seen military service in Vietnam. He is survived by two daughters, Karen (Jeff) Jernigan of Nashville and Erin H Hogan of Nashville; his mother, Floried Harper Hogan of Nashville; a brother, L Larry Charles Hogan of Nashville; four sisters, Vivian Leftwitch of Cookeville, T Tenn., Lillian Williams of Nashville, Grace Hudson of Vero Beach, Fla., and D Debbie Snellman of Vero Beach, Fla.; two grandsons, Conner and Carson. Services will be held at 4 p.m. Monday, Oct. 18, 2010, at the graveside at Nashville Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Stanley Luke. Pallbearers were Doug Harper, Terry Harper, Mike Harper, Dale Harper, Scott King, Jonathan Hogan. Visitation is today from 2 p.m. until the hour of service. - Lovein Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
