Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. today at Flat Creek Church. The Rev. Mickey Lindsey will officiate. Burial will follow at Flat Creek Cemetery. Mr. Holbrook was born Aug. 4, 1925, in Oconee County, S.C. He was the son of Silas Holbrook and Kate Stone Holbrook, both deceased. He was a retired farmer and lumber grader with Hubert Moore Lumber Co. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army during World War II and a member of Nashville’s V.F.W. Post. Survivors include his wife, Euna Irene Smith Holbrook of Alapaha; five daughters and sons-in-law, Frankie and Larry Exum, Maxine and Robert Adams, Emily and Jimmy Fulp and Marilyn and Randy Lancaster, all of Nashville, and Flora and Ralph Cannon of Leesburg; five sons and daughters-in-law, Wesley and JoNan Holbrook of Lakeland, Clark and Brenda Holbrook of Sylvester, and Kerry and Belinda Holbrook, Phillip and Angie Holbrook and Stacy and Shannon Holbrook, all of Nashville; three sisters, Gladys Finley of Fair Play, S.C., and Jean Stanbridge and Reba Murray, both of Toccoa; 24 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
