 ALAPAHA -- Roy R. "Pete" Holland, 88, of Alapaha, died Thursday, Sept. 4, 
2003, at Berrien Nursing Center.
 He was born Feb. 5, 1915, in Dodge County to Frank and Lottie Graham Holland. 
He was a retired herdsman and manager of the Coastal Plains Experiment Station 
and a member of Alapaha Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wives, 
Daisy Holland and Georgia Holland; and a son, Donnie Holland.
 He is survived by one daughter, Freida Beck of Ormond Beach, FL; two sons, 
Bobby Holland, Albany, Jerry Holland, Alapaha; eight grandchildren; and 11 
great-grandchildren.
 Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 7, 2003, at Alapaha 
Baptist Church with the Rev. Mike Gibbs officiating. 
 Burial will be held in Fletcher Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 7-9 
p.m. today at the funeral home.
 Lovein Funeral Home, Nashville.
