  Gerald Holland of Fayetteville died August 1, 2009.
  He was retired from Eastern Airlines after 33 years of service, the Fayette 
County Board of Education after 10 years of service, and was currently an 
instrumental part of Greg Holland, Inc. He was a deacon at Liberty Baptist C
Church where he was a quiet servant of the Lord and his fellowman.
  He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Johnnie Knight Holland of 
Fayetteville; sons, Greg Holland and wife Terri of Fayetteville, Gary Holland 
of Omega, Grant Holland and wife Shellie of Sharpsburg; mother in law, Vera 
Gaskins of Lenox; grandchildren, Ashley, Emily, Jerry, Lillian, Josh, Jesse, 
Hannah, Will, Jacob, Chad and Brodie, great-grandchildren, Chris, Cason, Cody, 
Caleb, Jacqueline, Taylor, Justin and Kyra; sisters, Lois Exum of Fayetteville,
Almeta
Almeta Lord and husband Ben of Marietta, Jean Moore and husband Huey of V
Valdosta; sisters in law and brothers in law; nieces and nephews.
  Funeral services were held August 4 at 11 a.m. at Liberty Baptist Church with 
Dr. Randy S. Wood and Rev. Chuck Orstrander officiating.
  Interment was in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
