He was born January 26, 1959 to the late Riley Benjamin, Jr., and Mary Ileane Whitfield Hooper in Miami, FL. He loved a Nascar race, football games and a little wrestling. He will be missed dearly by his family and friends. Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Weeks Thomas Hooper of Lakeland; daughter, Cayla Hooper of Adel; step-son and step-daughter-in-law, Zack and Melissa Thomas of Nashville; step-daughter and step-son-in-law, Erika and Mariano Thomas of Nashville; brother, Dennis Hooper of Mt. Vernon; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Pam and Mike Willis and Becky and Howard Marx, all of Monticello, FL; two grandchildren, Levi Thomas and Elliana Thomas; special friends, Lonnie and Sherrie Roberts and Quinton and Ellen Miller, all of Sparks; a number of nieces and nephews. A memorial service was held July 2 at 3 p.m. in the Music Funeral Services in Lakeland. Music Funeral Services of Lakeland was in charge of arrangements.
