 Pryor Lewis “P.L.” Howard, Jr., 83, of Chester, formerly of Eastman died June 2
27, 2010, at his residence.
 A native of Berrien County, he had lived in Dodge County for the past 55 
years. He was the son of the late Rose Rogers and Pryor L. Howard, Sr., a 
veteran of the U.S. Navy, WWII, a pilot in the Korean War, served in the U.S. 
Air Force Reserves and Georgia National Guard. He was also a retired Eastman  
Fire Department firefighter, retired owner-operator of Howard Equipment Co., f
former Boy Scouts of America leader, member and deacon of Eastman First Baptist C
Church, member of Eugene Smith Masonic Lodge #279 F&AM, a 32nd Degree Scottish R
Rite Mason and member of Al Sihah Shrine Temple in Macon.
 Survivors include his wife, Louise Crews Howard of Chester; two daughters and 
sons-in-law, Luci and Dek Driscoll of Winston-Sales, N.C. and Anita and Dan 
Keidel of Johns Creek; son and daughter-in-law, Pryor L. Howard III and Coni of Ch
Chester; five grandchildren, Frank, Mimi, Lee, Mark and Tim; several nieces and ne
nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, John R. Howard, and sister, An
Anita H. Perry.
 A graveside service was held June 30 at Rogers Cemetery in Yonker at 10 a.m. w
with a memorial service at 2 p.m. at Eastman First Baptist Church with Drs. J
Jerry Peele and Robin Wilson officiating.
 Stokes-Southerland Funeral home of Eastman was in charge of arrangements.
