NASHVILLE -- Novella Hughes, 74, of Nashville died Tuesday, Feb. 3, 2004, at 
Berrien County Hospital.
 She was born on Dec. 5, 1929 in Berrien County to James Caulie and Mary Ethel 
Griffin Grimes. She retired as the secretary with Lovein Funeral Home after 54 
years of service.
 She was a member of the Nashville First Baptist Church and the widow of J.T. 
Hughes who died in 1980. In addition to her parents and husband, she was also 
preceded in death by a sister, Virginia McKinnon.
 She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Jason and Regina Hughes of 
Nashville and one grandson, Turner Hughes of Nashville.
 Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 5, 2004 in the chapel 
of Lovein Funeral Home with the Rev. Billy Southerland officiating. Burial 
will be held in Westview Cemetery.
 Visitation will be held after 3 p.m. today with the family receiving friends 
from 7-9 p.m. 
 Lovein Funeral Home.
