Hughes, Katie Mae   
 Katie Mae Hughes, 94, of Nashville, passed away Monday, Nov. 2, 2009 at 
Berrien Nursing Center. She was born April 22, 1915 in Berrien County to the 
late Vaden and Mary Maggie Nix Hughes. She was a homemaker and member of 
Poplar Springs Missionary Baptist Church. She is survived by several nieces, 
nephews and cousins. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 5, 
2009 at Poplar Springs Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. J.W. Dukes, III 
and the Rev. Junior Swain officiating. Interment will be held in Poplar 
Springs Cemetery.
 Pallbearers were Darrell Nix, Bruce Roberts, Ben Warren, Clarence Watson, 
Ricky Watson, Mark Swain.
 Visitation will be held Thursday at the church one hour prior to the 
service. - Lovein Funeral Home, Nashville
