 T. C. Hughes, 85, of Nashville died December 16, 2006, at South Georgia 
Medical Center in Valdosta.
  Born March 23, 1921 in Berrien County to the late Walt and Delia Taylor 
Hughes, he was a retired farmer and also retired from Nashville Mills. He was a 
U.S. Army WWII veteran and a member of Nashville Post VFW.
  Survivors include his wife, Louise Howell Hughes of Nashville; two daughters, 
Mary Nell Truett of Moultrie and Luenett McSwain of Covington; one son, Terry 
Hughes of Valdosta; two sisters, Irene Roe of Nashville and Polly Lewis of Lake 
Park; one brother, W. E. Hughes of Nashville; eight grandchildren, Janet Gay, 
Teresa Beall, Paul Truett, Jr., Darrell Truett, Matt Hughes, Alexis Hughes, 
Sean McSwain, Lisa McSwain; two great grandchildren, Justin Gay and Railey 
Hughes.
  Funeral services were held December 19 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Lovein 
Funeral Home with the Revs. Vernon Hughes and Andy Cashwell officiating.
  Interment was in Westview Cemetery.
  Active pallbearers were Matt Hughes, Paul Truett, Jr., Darrel Truett, Sean 
McSwain, Greg Beall, Danny Gay.
  Honorary pallbearers were Earl Hughes, C.H. Knight, Robert Hughes, Charlie 
Manning, Wayne Cook, Ira Shealy, Danny Sparks.
  Lovein Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
