He was born July 3, 1938, to the late Viola Clara Willis and John Henry J Jackson, Sr. Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Starling Jackson of Nashville; three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Buddy and Rose Jackson of Valdosta, John Henry and Susan Jackson of Monterey, TN, and Eugene Jackson of Alapaha; sister and brother in law, Bonnie Faye and Edward Faught of Guin, AL. He was preceded in d death by sister, Cora Lee Webb. Funeral services were held May 29 at Purvis Funeral Home with Dr. Danny V. Ray and Rev. Johnny Smith officiating. Musical selections included "Amazing Grace," "Nobody Can Wear My Robe," and "I've Got So Much To Thank Him For," sung by Tonia Hall, Henry Harnage, and pianist, Joyce McConnell. Interment followed at New River Holiness Church Cemetery. Pallbearers were William Jackson, Eugene Jackson, Allen Jackson, Derek J Jackson, Josh Curry, Wayne Lamb. Purvis Funeral Home in Adel was in charge of arrangements.
