Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Chapel of Lovein Funeral Home in Nashville. The Rev. Dwight Bishop and the Rev. Gary James will officiate. Burial will follow at Gaskins Cemetery. Pallbearers were Ronald Bennett, James Griner, Greg Mathis, Guy Mathis, Tim Dampier, Barry Medley, Rondal Tomberlin, Earl James. Visitation will be held beginning at 5 p.m. today, with the family receiving friends from 7 to 9 at Lovein Funeral Home. Born July 6, 1935 to the Henry Winfred Connell and Edith Allegra Gaskins, both deceased. A homemaker and bookkeeper of the family business, James Auto Parts, James was a member of Poplar Springs Missionary Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband, Roy James of Nashville; a daughter and son-in- law, Joni and Tim Tygart of Nashville; two sons, Tony James of Atlanta and Scott James of Nashville; a sister, Jo Mathis of Adel; and four grandchildren. Flowers will be accepted or donations made to Hospice of Tiftarea or the Perry Memorial Library.
