 Sammy “Sam” Johnson, 74, of Nashville, died Monday, March 2, 2015, at Tift 
Regional Medical Center.
 He was born June 25, 1940, in Perry, Fl to the late John and Marantha French. 
He was a retired road grader with the Berrien County Road Department and a 
United States Army veteran. He was preceded in death by his wife, Virdie Nell 
Platt Johnson; daughter, Katherine Ronell Johnson; three brothers, James, 
Richard, and Jack Johnson; stepmother, Ruby Mae Johnson.
 He is survived by two sons, Wayne (Lisa) Johnson of Nashville and Chris Johnson 
of Nashville; two grandchildren, Michael McCall and Breanna McCall; sister, 
Johnnie Mae Pruitt of Washington State; three brothers, Ricky Davis, Jeff 
Johnson, and Walter Johnson, all of Perry, FL.
 The family will honor his request for cremation. A memorial service was held on 
March 7, 2015, at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with the Rev. 
Terron Stonecypher officiating.
