He was born March 13, 1955 in Adel to the late Troy and Hester Spurlock Johnson. He had worked as an electrical consultant with several local businesses in the South Georgia area and across the United States. His expertise in robotic science was invaluable to many in the field of electrical technology. He loved racing and late model cars and had raced in years past. He was a member of New Covenant Church and was a loving father and grandfather. Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Kristi and David Godwin of Hahira; son and daughter-in-law, Dwane and Charlotte Johnson of Nashville; grandchildren, Sierra Johnson of Nashville, Daniel Weaver, Dawson Godwin, Kristann Godwin and Drew Godwin, all of Hahira; brothers and sisters-in-law, Jerry and Susan Johnson of Kennesaw, Marlin and Judy Johnson and Edward Johnson, all of Nashville; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ginger Ann Parr Johnson. Services were held at 2 p.m. on August 19 at New Covenant Church with Pastor Randy Stephen officiating. A private burial followed the services. Carson McLane was in charge of arrangements.
