Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the chapel of Lovein Funeral Home. The Rev. Chris Newbern and the Rev. Caryl Martinez will officiate. Burial will follow at Westview Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at Lovein Funeral Home. Ms. Joiner was born on June 8, 1949 in Berrien County. She was the daughter of Howard Lang Powers and Lillie Ruth Taylor Powers, both deceased. She was also preceded in death by four brothers, Ottis Powers, O.J. Powers, Cecil Powers and Robert Powers. Ms. Joiner was a homemaker and a retired production clerk with Nashville Mills. She was a member of Adel First Assembly of God.Survivors include a daughter and son-in- law, Tammy and Dan Lee of Covington; a sister and brother-in-law, Pat and Jerry Morrell of Nashville; two stepsons, Daniel (Jennifer) Lee and David Lee; two step-grandchildren, Lexie and D.J.; three sisters-in-law, Virginia Powers, Barbara Powers and Nancy Powers; and several nieces and nephews.
