 Wilma Jones, 85, of Alapaha, died Monday, May 2, 2005, at her residence. 

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Pleasant Hill Missionary 
Baptist Church. The Rev. Jackie Connell will officiate. Burial will follow at 
Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Susan Flanders sang "How Great Thou Art" and "Because 
He Lives," and the congregation sang "Amazing Grace," accompanied by Darlene 
Turner, pianist.

 Active pallbearers were Rusty Partin, Jerry Brogdon, Charlie Flanders, Julian 
Giddens, Ricky Nugent, Travis Harper.

 Honorary pallbearers were P.H. Danforth, Tommy Vickers, Edwin Gaskins, Ronald 
Bennett, Jimmy Roberts, David Powell.

 Visitation is after 4 p.m. today with the family receiving friends from 7 to 9 
tonight. 

 Mrs. Jones was born on Jan. 26, 1920, in Berrien County. She was the daughter 
of James W. Flanders and Linnie Hutchinson Flanders, both deceased. She was 
also preceded in death by her husband, Felton Jones, who died Nov. 15, 1999, 
and a brother, James Flanders. 

Mrs. Jones was a homemaker and retired postmaster in Axson. She was a member of 
Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church. 

 Mrs. Jones is survived by two daughters, Diane Shearer of Tucker and Sharon 
Anderson of Cumming; three sisters, Ella Mae Nugent of Alapaha, Elizabeth Akins 
of Brunswick and Dalpha Giddens of West Berrien; three brothers, Lewis Flanders 
of Nashville, Jordan Flanders of Alapaha and Charlie Flanders, also of Alapaha; 
four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. 

 Lovein Funeral Home in Nashville is in charge of arrangements
