Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, April 6, 2009, at Nashville First Baptist Church. The Rev. Stanley Luke and Jackson Moore will officiate. Burial will follow at Westview Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 until 9 tonight at Lovein Funeral Home. Mr. Keeffe was born on May 27, 1930 in Berrien County. He was the son of Lewis Keefe and Georgia Watson Keefe, both deceased. He was also preceded in death by three sisters, Eva Jene Bateman, Lottie Grey Gaskins and Elnita Lynn, a nephew, Lewis Gaskins, and a great nephew, A.W. "Bill" Gaskins, IV. Mr. Keeffe was a retired comptroller with the J.H. Harvey Company with 50 years of service. He was a member of Nashville First Baptist Church and a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. Force. Survivors include his wife, Virginia Burnum Keeffe of Nashville; nieces Susan Patton, Louell Phenald, Deana Chidester, Renee Gaskins and Rhonda Pate; nephews A.W. "Al" Gaskins III, Butch Bateman and Robert Lynn; and a brother-in-law, Dub Bateman. Active pallbearers were Frank Patton, Kenny Hughes, Jimmy Lane, Jerry Hall, Billy Hill, Melvin Blount. Honorary pallbeaarers were Chris Gaskins, Allen Fountain, Billy Outlaw, Marcus Hayes, Vinson Luke, Albert Folsom, Dr. Jeff Cox, Dr. REicky Wheeler.
