Born November 14, 1920 in Roane County, West Virginia to the late Henry Richard and Gracie Leona Bissell Keffer, he was a retired machine mechanic with Ford Motor Co. He was a member and former deacon of Nashville United Methodist Church and an Army Air Corps veteran of WWII. Survivors include his wife, Martha Shaw Keffer of Nashville; three sons, Ronald Keffer of Homer, Alaska, Rev. Gary Keffer and Harry Keffer, both of Nashville; two sisters, Luella Graham of Louisville, OH and Ulva Wolfe of Chesterhill, OH; one brother, Cleo Maxwell Keffer of McConnellsville, OH; six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held December 1 at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with the Revs. Rick Williams, Billy Southerland and Gary Keffer officiating. The Keffers sang "For the First Time" and "Just What Heaven Means To Me." Interment was in Westview Cemetery. Active pallbearers were Paul Keffer, Jeremy Keffer, Mike Shellen, Mark Shaw, Greg Vickers, Earl Whitley. Honorary pallbearers were members of the board of deacons at Nashville First Baptist Church and the Men's Bible Class. Lovein Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
