Kent, 47, of Nashville died December 28, 2006, in Berrien County. Born June 29, 1959, in Berrien County to Evelyn Mathis Kent of Nashville and the late Jack Wesley Kent, he was a laboratory technician with Archer-Daniels- Midland Valdosta. He was a member of New Fellowship Church. Survivors, in addition to his mother, include his wife, Sandra Lynn Redding Kent of Nashville; two daughters, Breanna Kent and Ann Kent, both of Nashville. Funeral services were held December 30 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with Rev. Clarence Luke officiating. Darlene Parker sang "Go Rest High on that Mountain," and Judy Ward sang "I Can't Even Walk Without You Holding My Hand." Interment was in Westview Cemetery. Active pallbearers were Brian Mathis, Donnie Mathis, Chris Mathis, Luther Dukes, Lee Redding, Scotty Sumner. Honorary pallbearers were Charles Rowe, Woody Spurlock, Joe Mathis, Jerry Mathis, Donald Mathis, Johnny Redding, David Wiggins, Wendell Manning. Lovein Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
