Born December 28, 1928 in Clinch County to the late Clifford and Carrie Tomlinson Mobley, she was a homemaker and retired from Nashville Textile. She was a member of Nashville First Baptist Church and was married to the late Ernest Talmadge Kent. Survivors include two sons and one daughter-in-law, Larry and Nancy Kent and Tony Kent, all of Nashville; two sisters, Lawanna Balmer of Flowery Branch and Carolyn Griffin of Valdosta; two brothers, Howard Mobley of Valdosta and Paul Mobley of Tampa, FL; three grandchildren, Dawn Bennett, Jason Kent and Jill Olf, eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sisters. Funeral services were held September 5 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with Rev. Billy Southerland officiating. CD music included "Go Rest High on that Mountain" and "When I Get Where I'm Going." Interment was in Westview Cemetery. Active pallbearers were Wayne Barker, Bill Drawdy, Jimmy Drawdy, Craig Bennett, Bryan Olf, Danny Drawdy. Honorary pallbearers were members of the Philathea Sunday School Class. Lovein Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
