Kent, 88, of Nashville died February 12, 2005 at Berrien County Hospital. Born May 25, 1916 in Berrien County to the late William Franklin and Aleph Pafford Kent, he was a retired farmer and carpenter. He was an emeritus deacon at Flat Creek Baptist Church and was married to the late Corene Griner Kent. Survivors include daughter, Judy Schwab of Nashville; two sons, Bobby Kent of Nashville and Huey Kent of Hartwell; ten grandchildren 14 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild. Funeral services were held February 14 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with the Revs. Mickey Lindsey and Gary James officiating. Greg Shoupe sang "Go Rest High On That Mountain" and the church choir provided additional music accompanied by Tammy Kent, pianist. Interment was in Riverside Cemetery. Active pallbearers were Tony Kent, Bill Kent, Dennis Kent, Trevor Kent, Matt Schwab, Scott McAnally. Honorary pallbearers were Rodney Cornelius, Raymond Grimes, Charles Bryan, Frank Fletcher, J. H. Exum, Jr., John Thomas Kent, Bill Connell. Lovein Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
