 James Benny "Benjie" Kent, Jr., 38, of Valdosta died August 17, 2009.
 Born March 14, 1971 in Lowndes County to Jim and Susan Kent of Hahira, he was a
a lifelong resident of this area, a member of Northside Baptist Church and had b
been employed at Park Avenue Bank for the past 11 years. He enjoyed spending t
time with his children, family and was a sport enthusiast. He was an avid G
Georgia Bulldog fan.
 Survivors, in addition to his parents, include his wife, Grace Kent of 
Valdosta; his children, Brooklyn Kent and Andrew Kent, both of Valdosta; sister 
and brother-in-law, Suzanne and Richard Hogan of Ridgeway, WI; his mother-in-law,
Shirley Drew of Ray City; brothers
law, Shirley Drew of Ray City; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Brad and 
Carol Drew of Ray City, Remer and Amy Drew of Valdosta, Penny Cook of 
Birmingham, AL; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. He was 
preceded in death by his grandparents, Leland Sr. and Alene Kent and James A. and
and Mary Brooks.
 Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Aug. 20 at Northside Baptist Church with Re
Rev. Bob Willis and Dr. Ronny Spillers officiating.
 Interment followed in McLane Riverview Memorial Gardens.
 Carson McLane Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
