He was born January 28, 1940, in Laurel, MS to the late Marvin Roy and Gladys Pinson Kilpatrick. He was a retired machine mechanic with Nashville Mills, was of the Baptist faith, and was a veteran of the United States Army. He is survived by his wife, Velma Lott Kilpatrick of Nashville; two sons, James Walter (Kaylee) Kilpatrick of Piedmont, SC and Mikeal Roy (Jamie)of White Oak; stepson, Rob Brown of Willacoochee; four grandchildren, Joshua, Justin, Marie and Stephen; five sisters, Etoil Williams of Alapaha, Lavenia Tallent of Douglas, Betty Thomas of Altoona, FL and Evelyn Whaley and Jeanette Purvis, both of Nashville; two brothers, Marvin Kilpatrick of Lake City, FL and Randy Kilpatrick of Lakeland, FL. Funeral services will be held on September 24 at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with the Rev. Garvie Nichols, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in Nashville Memorial Gardens.
