Born July 28, 1921, in Berrien County to the late William Marcus and Mary Eldia Boyett Watson, she was a homemaker and member of Flat Creek Church. She was married to the late Lewis King. Survivors include two daughters, Anita Nix of Bainbridge and Janice Howze of Savannah; one son, Travis King of Nashville; one sister, Mary Nell Yarbrough of Lakeland; two brothers, Gene Watson and Jack Watson, both of Lakeland; ten grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held February 24 at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with the Revs. Bill Watson and Mickey Lindsey and Mr. Jackson Moore. The congregation sang "Because He Lives." Other music included "A Place I have Never Been Before" and "The Far Side Banks of Jordan." Tammy Kent served as pianist. Interment was in Flat Creek Cemetery. Pallbearers were Sabrina Nix, Wendell Blair Nix, Gregg Howze, Paula Hall, Angela McMillan, Sonya Shiver, Kevin King. Lovein Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
