He was born on June 11, 1945, in Berrien County to the late Wilson and Ruby Nell Nicholson King. He was a farmer and a former Berrien County Deputy Sheriff. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps and was a member of Nashville First Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Lily Grace West. He is survived by his wife, Rhonda Clifton King of Alapaha; three daughters, Robin (Greg) Clanton of Nashville, Dawn (Ran) West and Hope (Gary) Giddens, all of Alapaha; sister, Mary Alice McGee of Alapaha; six grandchildren, Hunter Clanton, Grady Giddens, Emma Giddens, Beau West, Katie Marie Giddens and Bella West. Funeral services were held June 4 at 11 a.m. at Flat Creek Baptist Church with the Revs. Mickey Lindsey and Raymond Cason officiating. Interment followed at Flat Creek Cemetery. Lovein Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
