The Berrien Press -- Margaret Elizabeth Kirkland, 93, of Nashville died 
October 20, 2007 at Louis Smith Memorial Hospital.
 Born June 12, 1914 in Berrien County to the late Warren and Millie Boykin 
Griffin, she was a homemaker and member of Poplar Springs Missionary Baptist 
Church, she was married to the late Noah Kirkland.
 Survivors include one daughter Judge Ruby (Lucious) Sirmans of Valdosta; one 
son, Donnie (Carolyn Jean) Kirkland; one half-brother, Leroy Griffin of 
Nashville; two grandchildren, Johnny Sirmans and Brad Kirkland; three great-
grandchildren, Noah Sirmans, Alicia Sirmans and Zachary Sirmans.
 Funeral services were held Oct. 22 at 11 a.m. at Poplar Springs Missionary 
Baptist Church with Rev. J.W. Dukes, III officiating. Joyce Warren sang "Meet 
Me at the River" and "Rose Among the Thorns."
 Interment was in Poplar Springs Cemetery.
 Pallbearers were Johnny Lancaster, Johnny Sirmans, Noah Sirmans, Brad 
Kirkland, R.H. Warren, Wonnie Royals.
