 Buie Daniel “Danny” Kirkland, 65, of Nashville, died Sunday January 22, 2012 i
in the Tift Health Care. 
 He was born December 28, 1946 in Lowndes County to the late Arthur Buie K
Kirkland and the late Fannie Ruth Stanford. He was a retired loan officer with F
First Federal Savings and Loan in Valdosta. He was a member of Faith Chapel. He w
was an Army Veteran and served in the Vietnam War. 
 He is survived by his wife: Patricia Kelly Kirkland of Nashville; 2 sons: 
Scott (Michelle) Kirkland of Blackshear and Steven Kirkland of Phoenix, AZ; 
sister: Redith Gaines of Nashville; mother-in-law: Katherine Kelly of 
Nashville; 3 grandchildren: Daniel Kirkland, Emma-Kate Ansley Kirkland, and Braydan
Braydan Kirkland; 2 nephews: Jason and B.J. Gaines; 3 nieces: Kay Rice, Erin Y
Young, and Jana Gaines. 
 Funeral services will be held Wednesday January 25, 2012 at 11 AM in the 
Chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with the Rev. Mike Bennett officiating
. Interment will follow in the Old City cemetery. Visitation is Tuesday from 6 t
to 8 PM. 
  Lovein Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
