The Berrien Press -- Henry Edward Knowles, 87, of Nashville died July 12 at 
South Georgia Medical Center in Valdosta.
 Born August 31, 1919 in Cook County to the late Reuben and Pearlie Griffin 
Knowles, he was a retired shipping clerk with Production Anodizing. He was a 
member of Vickers Church and an Army veteran of WWII. He was preceded in death 
by a son, Dwain Knowles.
 Survivors include his wife, Hazel Virginia Connell Knowles of Nashville; two 
daughters, Bobbie Welch of Adel and Betty Sue Jones of Nashville; one son, 
Edward Knowles of Valdosta; one sister, Evie Wells of Nashville; one brother, 
Allen Knowles of Nashville; six grandchildren, Dwain Knowles, Dawn Boling, Amy 
Strickland, Randy Welch, Michael Jones, Brian Jones, 11 great-grandchildren.
 Funeral services were held July 15 at 2 p.m. at Vickers Church with Rev. 
Ronnie Lawson officiating Austin Edwards sang "Long Black Train," Greg Shoupe 
sang "Go Rest High on that Mountain," the church choir sang "When I Travel the 
Last Mile."
 Interment was in Westview Cemetery.
 Pallbearers were Dwain Knowles, Michael Jones, Brian Jones, Kevin Strickland, 
Christopher Boling, Zach Boling, Austin Edwards, Zack Edwards, Randy Welch.
 Lovein Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
