 Allen  Knowles, 73, of Nashville died September 14, 2011, at Berrien Nursing Ce
Center.
 Born October 11, 1937, in Berrien County to the late Reuben and Pearlie G
Griffin Knowles, he was retired from the maintenance department with the G
Georgia Department of Transportation. He was preceded in death by two brothers a
and four sisters.
 Survivors include two daughters, Dianne Stone of Nashville and Lisa Jones of 
Lakeland; two sons, Richard Knowles and Gary Knowles, both of Nashville; step-son,
Wayne Stanford of Virginia; ten grandchildren, 16 great
son, Wayne Stanford of Virginia; ten grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, two 
step-grandchildren, three step-great-grandchildren.
 A graveside service was held Sept. 17 at 4 p.m. at Brushy Creek Cemetery in C
Cook County with the Revs. Phillip Simmons and Johnny Smith officiating.
 Active pallbearers were Charlie Knowles, Jason Knowles, Johnny Harper, Jody 
Kelly, Jeff Bristol, Tony Boyd.
 Honorary pallbearers were Sonny Griner, Ronald McCranie, Obie Branch, Johnny Wa
Walker, Danny Walker, Roy Roberts.
 Lovein Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
