  Hazel Virginia Knowles, 86, of Nashville died Tuesday, July 14, 2015, at her 
residence.
 She was born November 27, 1928, in Berrien County to the late R. G. “Bob” and 
Lona Barber Connell. She was a homemaker and member of Vickers Church. She was 
preceded in death by her husband, Henry Edward Knowles; a son, Dwain Knowles; 
son-in-law, Lamar Jones.
 She is survived by two daughters, Bobbie (Ralph) Welch of Adel and Betty Sue 
Jones of West Berrien; son, Edward (Sonia) Knowles of Valdosta; sister, Alma 
Sirmons of Tifton; six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and seven great-
great-grandchildren.
 Funeral services were held on Saturday, July 17 at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of 
Lovein Funeral Home with the Rev. Ronnie Lawson officiating.
 Interment was in Westview Cemetery.
