 Dr. Richard F. Kowalske, 58, died August 14, 2010, at Northeast Georgia M
Medical Center in Atlanta from malaria.
 “Dr. K” had recently returned from Uganda, Africa, where he and his wife, B
Brenda, were serving with Helping Hands Foreign Missions.
 Born June 6, 1952, in Wyandotte, Michigan, to Harold and Maryann Kowalske, he 
came to Georgia to attend Life Chiropractic College. After graduation, he moved 
to Gainesville, GA, where he set up his practice of over 25 years. In 2002, Dr. 
K and Brenda were called into full-time ministry and formed Helping Hands M
Missions. Together with Helpings Hands, they focused attention in Bolivia and U
Uganda where the lives of countless people have been changed by their medical a
and spiritual ministry.
 Master of Martial Arts, he studied and taught Tang Soo Do for over 30 years. 
He also had a passion for building and construction, a talent he utilized in 
the designing and building of communities here in Georgia as well as Boliviz a
and Uganda. In the past 12 years, his greatest desire was to reach the hearts o
of people for Jesus Christ.
 He is survived by his wife, Brenda Kowalske; children, Lisa, Jennifer, R
Richard, Ryan, Zachary, Russell, Lee, Freddy and Allison; grandchildren, Billy, J
Joshua, Benjamin, Hannah, Andrew, Ezekiel, Trey, Savannah, Norah, Hazel, Lucas a
and Micaela.
 Funeral services were held August 17 at 11 a.m. at Riverbend Baptist Church in
Gain
Gainesville.
 A memorial service for Dr. K will be held at a later date.
