He was born November 17, 1945, in Dothan, AL to the late Freddie Ford and Freddie Mae Armstrong Lamb. He was a retired educator with the Valdosta City Schools with 30 years of service, a member of and Director of Music for Nashville United Methodist Church for 18 years. He was a veteran of the United States Army. He is survived by his wife, Bobette Brooks Lamb of Nashville; daughter, Lacey (Gary) Wynn of Nashville; son, Jeremy (Holly) Lamb of Newburgh, IN; brother, Vinson Lamb of Augusta; sister, Gloria Lastinger of League, TX; three grandchildren and a special aunt, Dorothy Lamb Oaks of Ashford, AL. Funeral services were held June 20 at 10 a.m. in the Chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with the Revs. Mike Finn, Barry Brooks, Bob Ellis and Dr. Danny Ray officiating. Interment followed at Nashville Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to the Fred Lamb Cancer Fund, c/o Nashville United Methodist Church.
