Born August 11, 1928 in Berrien County to the late W.E. and Effie Jane McNabb Clanton, she was a homemaker and retired employee of the former Nashville Textile. Survivors include her husband, William Boyd "Bill" Langley of Nashville; two daughters, Barbara Giddens of Adel and Linda Gail Harper of Alapaha; three sisters, Mamie Hewitt, Verdie Rice and Thelma Griner, all of Nashville; four grandchildren, four great-grandchildren. The family honored her request for cremation. A memorial service was held March 1 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with the Revs. Harris Whitman and Ronnie Alligood officiating. Danny Payne sang "The Anchor Holds," and Randall Brooks sang "One Door to Heaven." Lovein Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
