Born December 23, 1952, to the late Francis Lynn and Mary Myers Hodges, she w was employed with Nashville Tractor. She was a member of Guthrie Baptist Church a and an active member of the Puddleville Purdies Red Hats for eight years. Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, Sam and Crissy Howell of Sparks and Jonathan and Theba Howell of Hahira; daughters and one son-in-law, Merlin and Royce Payne of Enigma and Jessica Doe of Adel; four stepsons, Tommy Lanier, Roy Lanier, Jr., Chet Lanier and Garrett Lanier; brothers and one sister-in-law, Mark Hodges of FL, Scott and Heather Hodges of Jacksonville, FL and Leon Hodges of Adel; four grandchildren, Colton McCook, Landon McCook, Grady Payne and Hailey Mabrey; sister law, Mark Hodges of FL, Scott and Heather Hodges of Jacksonville, FL and Leon Hodges of Adel; four grandchildren, Colton McCook, Landon McCook, Grady Payne and Hailey Mabrey; sister-in-law, Betty Jean Lanier of Nashville; brother-in-law and sister law and sister-in-law, Bill and Darlene Lanier of TX. She was preceded in death b by her husband, Roy Lanier, Sr. Funeral services were held August 22 at Purvis Funeral Home with Revs. Joe Pridgen and Bryan Layton officiating. Music selections included “The Anchor Holds” and “The Lord’s Prayer” by Frank Skinner, “Spared” and “Amazing Grace” “Go Rest High on That Mountain” on CD. Active pallbearers were David Lanier, Roy Lanier, Jr., Phillip Holbrook, Rick Carte Carter, Stacy Holbrook, B. J. Warren. Honorary pallbearers were the Puddleville Purdie Red Hats.
