Born June 28, 1931 in Delaware Co., OK to the late Ross (Coo-Wee-Scoo-Wee Constitution) and Akey Owens Leaf, he was a truck driver, construction worker, and worked maintenance for schools around Georgia. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. Survivors include his wife, Margaret Peggy Leaf of Ray City; two sons, James Leaf of Nashville and Wesley Leaf of Enigma; two sisters, Maggie Keener of Catoosa, OK, Bertha Hair of Bartlesville; four grandchildren. Funeral services were held Nov. 9 at 2 p.m. in the Lakeland Chapel of Music Funeral Services with Chief Night Eagle providing Indian ceremonial customs. Interment was in Flat Creek Cemetery. A two-man detail from Ft. Stewart presented the U.S. flag to Mrs. Leaf. Active pallbearers were Bubba Dryman, Willie Nelms, Jr. Miley, Robby Dasher, Justin Vowell, Toby Webb. Honorary pallbearers were Jesse Horton, C.W. Evans, Billy McCullough, John Horton, James Leaf, Wesley Leaf. Music Funeral Service, Lakeland was in charge of arrangements.
