Born July 30, 1931, in DuPont to the late Adolphus Dakota and Callie Mae Futch L Lee, he had lived in Live Oak, FL, before moving back to Georgia. He graduated f from the University of Georgia and was a soil conservationist for Pioneer Seed C Company. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force serving during the Korean War a and was a member of DuPont Baptist Church. Survivors include two sisters, Betty Ruth Lee Mull and Jane Lee, both of DePont; brothers, J.Donald Lee of Homerville and Terry Lee of Quitman; two nieces and their husbands, Eve and Bill Murray and Layne and Robert Varnedoe, all of Homerville; great nieces and great nephews, Laura Lee and Danny Smith, Joel Varnedoe and John Varnedoe, all of Homerville; great-great nieces and great-great nephews, J.D. Smith, Callie Laurell Smith and Sam Smith all of Home Homerville and several other relatives. Funeral services were held October 15 at 2 p.m. at Homerville Freewill Baptist Chu Church. Interment was in North Cemetery. Roundtree Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
