Born August 22, 1942 in St. Paul, Minnesota, to the late James and Beulah Elliott LeFever, he was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Tifton. He was a 1960 graduate of Osborne High School, Marietta, and served in the U.S. Navy Reserves in 1965-66. He graduated in 1968 from the University of Georgia with a BS degree in zoology. He moved to Enigma in 1979 and was a supervisor at Shaw Industries Plant WK, formerly Queen Carpet, for 26 years. He retired in 2005. He was dedicated to his family and was a volunteer for Literacy Volunteers of America in Tift County. Survivors include his wife, Terri Flower LeFever of Enigma; five daughters and three sons in law, Jill Jones of Tifton, Lisa and Tommy Pettis of Ocilla, and Laura and Donnie Rountree of Adel, Tracy Meyer of Tifton, Rachael and Brian McDowell of Tifton; brother, James LeFever of Sarasota, FL; 11 grandchildren. A memorial service was held February 22 at Trinity United Methodist Church with Rev. Eddie Hutcheson, Rev. Chris Ramsey and Jeff Robbins officiating. Employees of Shaw INdustries and the Second Saturday Motorcycle Club served as honorary escort. Albritton-Beaumont Funeral Directors, Tiftarea Chapel, Tifton, was in charge of arrangements.
