NASHVILLE — Harvel Lewis, 63, of Nashville, died Sunday, May 21, 2006, at his 
residence.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. today at the Nashville Church of God. 
Burial will follow at Mount Paron Cemetery. The Rev. Arville Hurst, the Rev. 
Jerry Greer and the Rev. Loyce Walker will officiate.
Mr. Lewis was born on Oct. 11, 1942 in Berrien County. He was the son of 
Harvey Lewis, deceased, and Myrtice Richardson Lewis of Nashville. He was a 
U.S. Army veteran and was employed with Nashville Mills as an industrial 
electrician. He was a member of the Nashville Church of God.
Survivors, in addition to his mother, include his wife, Betty Brogdon Lewis of 
Nashville; a daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Derek Joiner of Nashville; a 
son and daughter-in-law, Andy and Shanna Lewis of Nashville; a brother, Billy 
Lewis of Nashville; and two granddaughters, Loren and Ansley. He was preceded 
in death by his father; a daughter, Wanda Lewis; a brother, Howard Lewis; and 
a sister, Mary Beth Lewis.
Lovein Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
