Lewis Died in Nashville Oct. 20 Mr. Joseph Elijah Lewis, well known Berrien County man, died on Saturday, October 20, at 12:30 P.M. at the residence of his son, Mr. J.B. Lewis, here in Nashville. Paralysis was the cause of death, and he was ill only about four days. Funeral services were held Sunday, October 21, at 3 P.M. at Empire Church, interment following in the church cemetery. He was a member of the Missionary Baptist Church. Surviving are six sons, Messrs. J.B. and Ed Lewis of Nashville, Leonard Lewis of Jacksonville, Fla., and Bob, Perry, and Charlie Lewis of Berrien County.
