 Stephen Lamar Lindsey, 52, of Lakeland, FL died Sept. 16, 2009 at his re
residence after a battle with cancer.
 Born January 20, 1957 in Tifton to Eunice Rowe Lindsey of Lenox and the late O
Otis Lamar Lindsey, he had lived in Cook County most of his life and in L
Lakeland the past ten years. He was a aviation mechanic and turbine engine s
specialist. He was a member of Lenox Baptist Church.
 Survivors, in addition to his mother, include his wife, Carrie James Lindsey 
of Lakeland; two daughters and one son-law, Sarah Lindsey of Lakeland and 
Jessica and Wilton Jones of Long Beach, MS; two grandchildren, Ariel and Brian 
Jones of Long Beach; brother, Tink Lindsey of Tifton; sister, Carolyn Vance of 
Ponte Verdre Beach, FL.
 Funeral services were held Sept. 20 at 2 p.m. at Lenox Baptist Church with 
Rev. Lamar Harris and Brant Lindsey officiating. Trenton Vance gave a eulogy. A 
poem was read by Jency Ray and Carolyn Vance entitled, "The Day God Took You Hom
Home." Carolyn Vance served as pianist, Doris Arnold sang "Surely The Presence Of 
Of The Lord is in This Place" and "In the Garden." The congregation sang "Are You
You Washed in the Blood of the Lamb," "How Great Thou Art," "Amazing Grace" and
and "The Old Rugged Cross." "Will the Circle Be Unbroken was played by Bret Sto
Stone on the guitar and Bob Rainwater on the harmonica.
 Interment was in Pinegrove Cemetery. At the gravesite service, Darlene Stone re
read a poem by Millie Lindsey, "God Protects the Children," Bret Stone and Do
Donnie Smith sang and played guitars on "A Pirate Looks at 40."
 Active pallbearers were Craig Lindsey, Marc Lindsey, Trenton Vance, Johnny L
Lindsey, Payton Vance, Van Lindsey.
 Honorary pallbearers were Donnie Vance, Joe Lindsey, Charles Taylor, Drew 
Lindsey, Bob Rainwater, Jimmy Johnson, Mike Lindsey, Louie LeJardi, Bago G
Griffin, Marc Lindsey.
 Boone-Lipsey Funeral Home of Adel was in charge of arrangements.
