The Berrien Press -- Ruby Jean Hood, 90, of Blairsville, formerly of 
Nashville, died April 9, 2006 at her residence.
 Born June 5, 1915 in Ellijay to the late William Jess and Carrie Kell Hood, 
she was a member of Antioch Baptist Church. She was married to the late Austin 
James Lloyd, Sr. She also preceded in death by a sister, Katherine Braren and 
three brothers, James Hood, William Hood and Paul Collins.
 Survivors include two daughters and one son-in-law, Joyce Lloyd of 
Blairsville, Mary Louise and Dr. Charles King of Cedar Bluff, VA; one son and 
daughter-in-law, Austin James, Jr. and Faye Lloyd of Nichols; one brother, 
W.D. Collins of Osteen, FL; two sisters, Louise Lightfoot of Orlando, FL and 
Bunzie Harmon of Lakeland; nine grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, six 
great-great grandchildren.
 Funeral service were held April 11 at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Mountain View 
Funeral Home in Blairsville with Rev. George Cline officiating.
 Interment and a graveside service was held April 10 in Fender Cemetery in 
Lakeland.
 Mountain View Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
