 Edward Lloyd, 79, of Nashville, passed away Thursday, Sept. 3, 2009, at his 
residence. He was born on Oct. 14, 1929, in England to the late Frederick and 
Annie McMahon Lloyd. He was a retired bus driver and a fishmongor. He was 
preceded in death by his first wife, Beatrice Ford Lloyd, who died in 1992. He 
is survived by his wife, Virginia Gary Lloyd of Nashville; son, David Lloyd,
Somersham
Somersham, England; granddaughter, Abhie Lloyd, Ipswich, England; two 
stepdaughters, Sonya (Ray) Brockman, Georgia (Tim) Oropeza, all of Valdosta; 
two stepsons, Danny (Jean) Sly, Jeffrey (Jill) Sly, all of Ray city; nine step
grandchildren
grandchildren; two special nieces, Lily and Winiford, England; and his closest 
friend, Cecil Marshall of Manchester, England. Funeral services will be held at 
1 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 12, 2009, in Lovein Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. 
Kenneth Stone officiating. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until time of 
service Saturday. - Lovein Funeral Home, Nashville
