Lopez, 75, of Ray City died October 12, 2005 at Smith Northview Hospital. Born May 15, 1930 in East Baton Rouge Parish, LA to the late Lawrence and Odilia Landry Lopez, he was a retired commercial electrician and a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. He attended St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church and was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. Survivors include his wife, Dorothy May Lopez of Ray City; daughter, Vickie Price of Lafayette, LA; three sons, Bill Lopez and Gary Lopez, both of Zachary, LA, Kenny Lopez of Baker, LA; four stepsons, Danny Sparks and Scott Sparks, both of Ray City, Carl Sparks and Jimmy Sparks, both of Alapaha; stepdaughter, Debbie Reynolds of Ray City; three sisters, Rosemary Cox and Annie Mae Neff, both of New Roads, LA, Ora Lawrence of Port Allen, LA; three brothers, Jay Lopez and Lewis Lopez, both of Peoria, IL, Hilton Lopez of Port Allen, LA; 23 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held October 15 at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with Father John O'Brien officiating. A rosary was said October 14 at 7 p.m.. Interment was in Beaver Dam Cemetery. Grandsons served as pallbearers. Lovein Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
